Hailing from one of many small clans of Moon Keeper miqo'te in the Black Shroud, Yonah is an unusal sort among her people. Many keepers, in accordance with Gridanian laws surrounding hunting and cultivating the natural environment, have slowly been losing touch with their older traditions. Those who now call the Black Shroud home are not familiar with the older religious practices, or the old gifts once known to their families. Yonah, however, was born aware of an ancient gift: small prophecies, perceptible from the observance of nature. Once, the ability to see sparks of the future within the growth of the leaves and the color of carrion livers might have been considered a blessing from Menphina, and Yonah may have been a priestess -- However, today, such traditions have been pushed aside, and only the elders truly remember the value of such talents.
